Four big reasons why you should support missionaries

It is crucial to support the concept of missions and especially for those who serve as missionaries. It is God’s will that new churches are planted and new people come to a relationship with Jesus Christ. When thinking of mission movements, we frequently think of work in other countries. However, mission work can be done right in your hometown if you so choose. The first thing to do in missions must be in your home to bring your family to faith in Christ.

Here are four crucial reasons why supporting missions is an essential responsibility for Christians:

It is a command from God.

Jesus gave this command directly to his disciples. They were asked to reach the whole world, preach the Gospel, and become disciples of the One True God. Therefore, the primary reason for going on missions is to obey God’s command to his church. This is why people leave their homes and families to go to other countries and preach the Gospel today.

It is a community responsibility.

The work that missionaries do is motivated by their desire to communicate the truth about God to people worldwide. Without the support and assistance of people like you, missionaries will not be able to fulfill their work, which is why the apostles in the early church encouraged people to contribute to the work of missionaries. When you donate to these missionaries, you become part of their work and part of God’s plan for the world. God has tasked some with going, while others have been asked to remain here and give and pray.

The only way to reach the world.

The Holy Spirit has made it abundantly clear that one of the most fundamental truths is that faith comes only by hearing the word of God. If there is no hearing of the word of God, then there will be no faith. This is the logical conclusion of the Holy Spirit’s emphasis on this truth. People cannot hear unless someone goes out into the world and preaches the word of God to them. Therefore, it is crucial to provide financial assistance to missionaries because the expansion of God’s kingdom is depicted in the Bible as occurring through the work of missionaries. When we assist these missionaries, we contribute to disseminating the Gospel worldwide.

You play a critical role in Missions where you are.

We do not support missionaries financially, expecting to receive something in return. We do it because we believe in the significance and effectiveness of missions and that God will use the missionaries He chooses to change the world. By doing so, we will play a significant role in the propagation of the word of God worldwide, which will be our most important source of blessing.

Matthew 28: 19-20

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that, therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from the dictation or patronage of the other.

We believe that a visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried with Him in baptism and associated for worship, work and fellowship.

We believe that to these visible churches were committed for observance “until He comes,” the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper; and that God has laid upon these churches the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master. We believe that righteous living, good works and proper social concern are essential products of the gospel.

We believe, therefore, that those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God’s presence and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to the world according to His promise.
