Eliseo & Isabel Macedo

Ministry Journey

Focus

Eliseo is planting a new church in Cusco, Peru. In January 2017, he founded Mas Vida Church. He is a visionary leader and passionate about Christ. His vision is to make a church passionate about Christ and multigenerational that loves people and serves their city, discovers its potential in every person, and starts new churches in other parts of Peru and South America.

Journey

Eliseo was born in Yanatile, Peru. A rural community about 8 hours from Cusco. His father was a farmer and church planter. Some of the places where he started planting churches were far away, so he had to walk for long days to reach the communities.

At 17, he went to a Bible seminary to study pastoral ministry and theology.

In 2009, he started a new church with his family. He was assigned to work with Quechua-speaking youth and children in rural villages around Cusco.

In 2012, he returned to the church he started in Cusco and went on to continue his theological training at the seminary during the day, and at night he would go to a technical school to study pharmacy.

In 2015, he graduated from his biblical training, becoming the youngest leader to finish seminary and earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.

In 2016, he started a new ministry with five young people full of passion, desiring to make a multigenerational church where everyone can call the sanctuary their home and be a place of biblical preparation, thus blessing their community.

In 2017.  God opened the doors to renting a space and building a sanctuary where they are currently working.

In 2018, along with other young church leaders, they started a non-profit ministry called Jayway to work with children, the elderly, and widows, providing school supplies, toys, medicine, food, and clothing, among other community needs.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he married his beloved wife, Isabel. In that same year, he began his second career as a psychologist at a private university, working as an instrument for the ministry.

In 2022, after having closed the church for two years, they reopened the on-site services with a minimum percentage of congregants. It was like starting the ministry from scratch.

In 2023, they started the ministry for families, youth, teenagers, and children. Also, they set up a biblical training school for all those who wish to serve in the ministry, taking leadership in certain areas, including evangelism. Additionally, they received great news that impacted their lives: the arrival of a baby boy at their home.

Each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that, therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from the dictation or patronage of the other.

We believe that a visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried with Him in baptism and associated for worship, work and fellowship.

We believe that to these visible churches were committed for observance “until He comes,” the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper; and that God has laid upon these churches the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master. We believe that righteous living, good works and proper social concern are essential products of the gospel.

We believe, therefore, that those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God’s presence and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to the world according to His promise.
