Evangelist Clifford Masambuka is the founder and senior pastor of Book of Life (BOL), a registered nonprofit church and ministry headquartered in Zomba City, Malawi, with branches in several regions across the country. His calling and passion center on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly among rural and underserved communities in Malawi.
Through the Book of Life Ministry, Masambuka leads a wide range of initiatives, including door-to-door evangelism, school and prison outreach programs, youth Bible studies, discipleship training, women’s and youth ministries, pastor development programs, and healthcare services. The ministry’s mission is not only to proclaim the Gospel but also to meet the spiritual, mental, and physical needs of individuals as a reflection of God’s love.
A major focus of his current work is youth evangelism training, especially in the districts of Zomba, Blantyre, and Machinga, where young people are equipped to become effective messengers of the Gospel. Clifford is also deeply committed to child and youth ministry, helping the next generation grow as disciples of Christ and spiritual leaders in their communities.
Journey
Clifford Masambuka’s Christian journey is deeply rooted in a personal and divine calling to serve God by serving others. Responding to this call, he founded Book of Life, a ministry born out of a desire to equip young people with evangelism skills and bring the message of salvation and hope to areas often overlooked by mainstream missions.
His journey has been marked by both challenges and triumphs. Serving in a region where resources are limited and needs are enormous, Masambuka has remained steadfast in his mission. He faces daily obstacles such as financial constraints and logistical barriers in reaching remote communities. However, these challenges have only deepened his resolve and faith.
Over time, Clifford has expanded his outreach to prisons, schools, and villages, investing in holistic ministry that addresses not only spiritual growth but also emotional and physical well-being. His leadership has helped develop pastoral training, fostered discipleship among youth, and empowered women’s ministries.
Today, Evangelist Masambuka continues to advance the mission of Book of Life with a heart full of compassion, a vision shaped by faith, and a life committed to making Christ known in every corner of Malawi. His passionate commitment exemplifies what it means to be a servant-leader in the Kingdom of God.
