Focus
Currently, Harold and Ericka serve their home church “Casa 2:42” in San Jose, Costa Rica. They focus on mobilizing not only their own church, through missional courses, but also move the church in Costa Rica. Harold is a Simply Mobilizing lead facilitator for Costa Rica and is also a member of the New Nations SM team for Nicaragua.
Additionally, they feel a calling to cross-cultural missions, more specifically they have a heart for the Hindus in Nepal. Their focus is to work in evangelism and discipleship in rural villages.
Journey
Since before they were married, both Ericka and Harold felt a desire to go to the nations and actively participate in God’s global mission. Once married, that calling was confirmed on a short-term trip to Cuba, where they were able to participate in training and teaching with several leaders from different local churches.
Ericka has a gift for worship and continues to become certified in positive parenting, to serve children and their families.
“We believe that our Lord Jesus has left us in His Word the clear example of leaving the 99 to go after that sheep that was lost. For that reason, we are willing to leave everything in our country to go in search of that lost sheep that are the unreached ethnic groups.”
This beautiful family of Ticos is raising funds for an exploratory trip to Nepal.
The Espinal Knutsen family has a 2 year old daughter named Olivia, and a new member on the way.
