Ministry Journey

Focus

Ariel is a passionate evangelist. He will embark on his first university mission in 2025. Based in Aberystwyth, a small town in mid-Wales, Ariel will be working with the Christian Union for relay work. In this role, Ariel will organize evangelistic events at the university and lead students in the Christian Society.

Under the UCCF umbrella, Relay is a year of mission, discipleship, and training for graduates who love Christian unions. UCCF (Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship) is a UK-based charity that aims to advance the Christian faith among students, graduates, and former university members.

Relay is a unique opportunity to work on the frontlines of student missions with Christian unions while UCCF staff disciple them, receiving fantastic training and seeing how the grace of the gospel impacts all areas of life.

Journey

Ariel Rincon grew up in a Christian household with parents who were very involved in church. As a child, Ariel was well-behaved and took pride in that, but as adolescence approached, Ariel started to rebel and struggle with temptations. However, Ariel’s father preached the gospel one night, completely changing his perspective. He realized his faults and confessed his sins to his father and God. Challenges have tested faith throughout his life, but Ariel has remained devoted to God.

During a church retreat, the gospel deeply impacted Ariel, reigniting his faith after a spiritual depression. Ariel is grateful for the unwavering support of his parents and friends, who have helped him stay on the path of faith. Ariel strongly desires to share the good news of salvation with others, especially non-Christian family and friends. Ariel believes it is critical to spread the love of Jesus, with the most significant motivation being to work full-time on training for this purpose, for discipleship, and to encourage others to build up treasures in heaven.

This university setting gathers people from various cultures worldwide, enabling relay workers and Christians to reach out to other countries. Ariel has also graduated from Bangor University and occasionally travels there to support the Christian Union. The goal is to assist students at both universities in their spiritual growth and their mission to share the gospel with their non-Christian peers.

While doing his work, Ariel aims to grow in dependence on God. He prays for wisdom to guide younger Christians in sharing their faith and living with integrity, and for courage to share the gospel with others. As Ariel embarks on this new phase, he needs financial stability.

Ariel came to Bangor University in North Wales after winning a scholarship from Ariel’s government. Ariel quickly became involved with the Christian Union and passionately believes in sharing the gospel with others, as well as the importance of accountability and positive Christian friendships.

Encouraged by relay workers and staff from Ireland, Ariel intends to pursue relay work due to Ariel’s empathetic and evangelistic nature. This new chapter of his life greatly encourages him.

Ariel is the second son of Alberto Rincón, Worship Leader in the Iglesia Bíblica del Señor Jesucristo, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Raquel Vargas de Rincón, his wife.
