Focus

Rubi, originally from Latin America, is preparing to serve in Northeast Asia, where, through educational, agricultural, and humanitarian aid projects, she will spread the gospel to people living in contexts where access is restricted or limited. She recently joined Pioneers International and has completed a two-year training program in Asia designed to prepare her through language and cultural immersion.

She is currently in her home country, awaiting visa approval and budget completion to join their team in Asia.

Journey

Rubi began his missionary work in 2005, focusing primarily on Campus Ministry. In 2017 he joined Operation Mobilization, where he served aboard the ship Logos Hope. Then, in 2018, he received a particular call to intercede for a nation located in Northeast Asia. In response to that call, he prepared for two years through a process of cultural immersion, language learning and security training.

Throughout his career, Rubi has participated in short-term mission trips in South America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, collaborating with different cross-cultural teams in various projects focused on sharing the gospel. These experiences allowed him to develop a global perspective and reaffirm his call to serve in contexts where the gospel message has little access.

Rubi will be part of a local team dedicated to areas such as education, humanitarian assistance, agriculture, prayer and intercession. His longing is for Christ to be made known among unreached peoples through a life of persevering prayer, loving service and genuine relationships. Its purpose is to contribute to the strengthening of the local church and to witness to lives renewed by the hope that is in Christ, even in one of the most spiritually restricted and challenging contexts in the world.
