Habib currently collaborates with the Frontiers agency, a mission agency with more than 20 years focused on working with Muslims in the 10/40 window. He serves as a missionary in Malaysia, bringing the glory of God to places where the Lord is not currently spoken of.
Journey
Habib was born and raised in Havana, the capital of Cuba. He remained in Havana until he was 21 years old, when he relocated to Venezuela to pursue his studies in clinical bioanalysis at the University of Medical Sciences. He worked for 5 years in Venezuela as a laboratorian, where he met his wife, Amira, who is also Cuban and was working there as a graduate in physical culture and physiotherapy. After a few years, they returned to Cuba and moved to Santa Clara, a city located in the center of the country. There, they had their two sons, Jhon and David. In 2010, Amira got sick with cancer, and the Lord performed a great miracle in her life, removing the tumor without the need for an operation. There, Amira met the Lord and began to pray for her family and for Habib to meet Jesus.
Finally, in 2020, Habib met the Lord, and they began to walk together as a Christian couple. Habib and Amira trained in the area of counseling, serving together in marriage counseling in the church, preaching to marriages, and discipleship. By the end of 2022, they were driven by a strong desire and passion to spread the word of God throughout the world. They became involved in cross-cultural missions, particularly focusing on working with Muslims. They underwent training in courses and workshops such as Perspectives and HUT (To the uttermost part of the earth). In addition to this, they began to mobilize the church in Cuba and to train leaders for mobilization in their country. Currently the whole family is in Malaysia receiving training in Islamic language and culture, and in the coming months they should leave for Pakistan to sow the word of God among Muslims in the coming years.
