Focus
Richard Paul Chavez is a pastor and ministry leader serving in the Philippines with a growing commitment to reaching families, training Christian leaders, strengthening local churches, and bringing the hope of the Gospel to communities with limited access to biblical teaching. He serves in Hagonoy, Bulacan, where he pastors Grace Alone Reformed Church and is also pioneering new ministry work in Malolos, Bulacan.
Journey
Richard’s journey in ministry has been shaped by a desire to see people and families come to know Christ and grow in His Word. Together with his wife, Myriz, he has served in ministry while both working as public school teachers. Their ministry has developed through preaching, discipleship, pastoral care, Bible studies, evangelism, and practical outreach to children, families, and communities.
Grace Alone Reformed Church began in 2021 in Hagonoy, Bulacan. What began as a small work has gradually developed into an established congregation with a growing ministry of discipleship and leadership development. Richard has placed particular emphasis on investing in people, training future church leaders, and helping believers develop a more profound understanding of Scripture and a life shaped by the Gospel.
The ministry has also expanded beyond the local church. Richard is involved in outreach among the Aeta communities in Central Luzon, where ministry opportunities have included Bible teaching, encouragement for Aeta pastors, and practical assistance. Through these efforts, he hopes to help strengthen Christian leaders and support churches serving communities that are often overlooked.
Looking ahead, Richard desires to see the ministry continue to grow through healthy churches, well-equipped Christian leaders, faithful discipleship, and meaningful Gospel outreach. His prayer is that more families, young people, pastors, and communities throughout the Philippines would encounter the transforming message of Jesus Christ and be strengthened to faithfully serve others.
