Ministry Journey

Otto & Nere Lemus

Help Otto & Nere Lemus archieve the goals of this ministry.

Focus

Otto and Nere Lemus are currently serving in Guatemala, their home country, after seven meaningful years of ministry in Texas. Their desire is to serve the church and communities throughout Guatemala by investing in people, developing ministry partnerships, and helping others find and follow Jesus.

Their ministry has a particular emphasis on building bridges between the United States and Latin America. Drawing from the relationships, experience, and ministry opportunities God has given them, they seek to encourage, equip, and serve others while strengthening connections between churches and ministry leaders across cultures.

In Guatemala, Otto and Nere hope to continue serving people, mobilize Guatemalans and other Latinos to reach unreached countries, strengthen local ministry leaders, and develop ministry partnerships throughout Latin America. At the same time, they remain connected to the community in the United States that has prayed for, supported, and walked alongside them throughout their ministry journey.

Their prayer is to see these relationships become lasting bridges for Gospel-centered ministry between North America and Latin America.

Journey

Otto and Nere’s ministry journey in Texas began seven years ago and became deeply connected to Grace Bible Church in College Station. During those years, they served primarily on campus with adults, with a particular emphasis on reaching university students, international students, and people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

They had the privilege of serving in a multicultural and bilingual ministry environment connected to Texas A&M University. Through this experience, they learned the importance of meeting people where they are and communicating the Gospel across cultural barriers.

Over the years, their ministry grew beyond weekly programs to include discipleship, leadership development, community outreach, small groups, and volunteer development. They had the opportunity to walk alongside students and young adults as they explored faith, developed as leaders, and became involved in serving others.

These experiences shaped their understanding of ministry as more than programs. For Otto and Nere, ministry is fundamentally about relationships, accountability, discipleship, and helping people discover how God can use their lives for His purposes.

After seven years in Texas, Otto and Nere returned to Guatemala, bringing with them the relationships, lessons, and ministry experience God developed during that season. They see this transition not as an ending, but as an expansion of the ministry He has entrusted to them.

Today, they are seeking to build upon what God has already done, serving the people of Guatemala while expanding their ministry partnerships throughout Latin America. Their desire is to strengthen local leaders, mobilize believers for missions, and continue developing meaningful relationships between North American and Latin American churches and ministries.
