Focus
David and Hanah are cross-cultural workers from Cuba who have served for several years in the Middle East. Since their arrival, they have devoted themselves to the intensive study of the Arabic language, as well as the culture and religion, with the aim of developing effective methods of discipleship.
In addition, they intentionally seek people open to the gospel message, identifying “families of peace” who can receive and share salvation. Their primary goal is to foster movements of discipleship among locals that reproduce organically within their culture.
Journey
David was born in a small town to a family dedicated to church planting. From an early age, he was involved in missionary and pastoral work, as his parents were pioneers in bringing the gospel to their community by founding the first church there.
During his teenage years, he felt God’s call to missions. At age 22, he married his wife, who shared the same desire to serve the Lord full-time among Muslim communities. Over time, both confirmed that their calling was specifically directed toward the Middle East.
They received their academic training, earning degrees in fields such as Media and Digital Journalism, Photography, Holistic Care, and a Bachelor of Theology. In addition, Hanah earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Management.
Before heading out to the mission field, they gained experience by serving for two years as local missionaries in one of the least-reached areas of their region. This period of preparation strengthened their calling and enabled them to develop practical tools for ministry in the Middle East.
Despite their youth, they responded with determination to God’s call. Their greatest desire is to follow in Christ’s footsteps, bringing the good news of salvation to the unreached and being part of the rise of disciple-making movements throughout the Middle East.
