Turn back and Thank God!

Gratitude is an attitude that will always be appreciated by everyone and especially by God. When his creatures turn to the majestic Lord to express gratitude, He receives it as an act of worship, and he grants us greater blessings.

At present, we live in imminent danger of a dehumanizing death, while the anxiety about the contagion of the virus tries to prostrate and paralyze us permanently.

The living conditions we are experiencing now remind us of the scene narrated in Luke’s gospel when one of the 10 who were healed by Jesus came back giving thanks. It is remarkable that in the face of the gloomy scenario narrated in the Gospel, as well as the difficult reality of the present, it is truly inspiring to recognize that the permanent quarantine of those men were not an obstacle to cry out for God’s favor. On the contrary, his illness and isolation were stimuli to approach the only one who could change his reality. In the same way, our difficult trial has resulted in the true people of God drawing closer to Him. Let us continue crying out to the only one who is powerful to continue favoring our lives.

During this trial of humanity, God has poured out his grace through his church; He has used his Church to overflow with grace in the midst of present difficulties.

During this time, Global One80 can testify that God’s faithful protection and provision has been with us and all this despite the negative forecasts of the world. God has used us together with our donors as key tools to ensure the sustainability of the ministry. That is why we take the opportunity to thank God for our donors and collaborators who make possible our commitment to implement initiatives that transform communities, changing lives one at a time. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

UPDATES

  • Reaching Latinos: Joaquin Vargas shared with a group of English-speaking brothers and sisters of HiWay Baptist Church a conference highlighting the history, facts and cultural traits of Latinos in the United States. A very important topic as we embark on the challenge of reaching over 16 million Spanish-speaking people in our country.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Fall Festival: Ncuentro @ HiWay will be collaborating with the English Church to do an outreach for the community on November 7th. Pray that could meet people who are not attending church and that they might come to know Jesus as their Savior.
  • Thanksgiving: Iris Roman was able to purchase a car and now can come to church and continue to help with the worship team.
  • Church Gatherings: In many places of the world, churches are not able to meet in person due to the pandemic and government regulations. Pray for wisdom for pastors and leaders as they minister to people virtually and for strength for those who do not have access to a personal fellowship.

NEEDS

  • End of the Year Pledges: We need to raise $24,000 per year for the General Fund in order to operate the ministry. This fund is used to pay for a graphic designer, an accounting assistant, a virtual assistant, a database administrator and a website coordinator. Also pays for administrative needs for compliance, insurance, accounting, communications and supplies.

Each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that, therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from the dictation or patronage of the other.

We believe that a visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried with Him in baptism and associated for worship, work and fellowship.

We believe that to these visible churches were committed for observance “until He comes,” the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper; and that God has laid upon these churches the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master. We believe that righteous living, good works and proper social concern are essential products of the gospel.

We believe, therefore, that those who accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God’s presence and those who refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to the world according to His promise.
