Jamil has experience instructing hundreds of speakers in Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, and the USA. His gifts are evangelism, leadership, church planting, and development. These have been extensively used and strengthened in 19 years of Christian life and eight years of full-time ministry.
He earned a degree in Biotechnology at the University of Managua, Nicaragua, and a bachelor’s degree in Theology and Biblical Studies at the Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio, Texas. He started a church in his hometown, Masaya, Mission-Texas, Payson-Arizona, and now is planting a church in the Metro-Phoenix area.
Jamil has been on staff at PBC for more than five years. He witnessed God do amazing things in people’s lives through those years, building a bilingual and multicultural congregation.
He has moved to Central Phoenix, representing and serving the Hispanic community in Phoenix and connecting them with the love of Jesus through his Word. The vision is to plant a Hispanic church; a church contextualized to the reality and needs of Phoenix, where everything points to Jesus.
Jamil is married to Malissa, and they have a 13-year-old daughter. They serve together as a family. They both enjoy working out, hiking, traveling, and trying international foods, but more than that, helping people together and being a voice for those who don’t have “Proverbs 31:8.” His passions are his family, the Hispanic community, and dogs.
